Senior Financial Analyst (Corporate Retail)

Reporting directly to the Chief Financial Officer, the Financial Analyst will be a business partner responsible for monitoring the financial and non-financial metrics of the sales at all of our client's café’s. The organization has recently installed a new Point of Sale (“POS”) system across all of the cafés and this role will be instrumental in creating a business intelligence function that will provide reliable and timely information and analysis to the Operations, marketing and supply chain departments business leaders to guide them in their decision making process. Main duties include: Creating and maintaining sales reports using the client's web based online reporting system to be used by franchise partners to more effectively manage their business. Analyzing sales data at a menu item level to assist the marketing department in measuring the return on investment on marketing campaigns. Analyzing sales data to create a supply chain forecast to minimize inventory obsolescence. Maintaining all theoretical menu item costs using the Starchef recipe application.

Must have at least 3 years sales experience in accounting or finance in a Corporate Retail environment along with advanced knowledge of Excel. A degree in business administration, finance or equivalent experience is preferred and an accounting designation (CMA, CA, CGA) or MBA is an asset. Must have strong business acumen and analytical skills, along with the ability to clearly communicate results of analysis and provide recommendations to business leaders at all levels. A team player that will think strategically and effectively when faced with difficult challenges. Knowledge of Accpac, Micros POS or similar software experience is an asset.
